Grand Minnesota Taste-together

What a fun event!! The Beer, Bacon, Bloodys and Bands event was last night at Grand Casino Hinckley, in Hinckley, MN. I'm not a beer drinker at all, so of course I was only there for the bloodys and the bacon. The beer was unlimited, but the bloodys and the bacon were limited to 4 of each. Needless to say, I was a little let down by that, as I didn't realize there was a limit. The bloody mary mix that was used in all of the bloodys was Sportsman's Redneck Juice. There were four "Bloody Stations" in each corner of the event center. Each station had a different flavor of infused vodka. They included a lemon-lime, cucumber dill, bacon, and habanero and garlic. The bacon appetizers included (all bacon wrapped) beef tip, pineapple, shrimp, water chestnut and jerk chicken. The other bacon apps included a stuffed mushroom, some sort of cherry tomato something or other (I missed out on that one!), and a bacon and cheese bite-sized quiche. There was a great assortment of beers, including a lot of locally made brews. I really wish I enjoyed them!!! I didn't stay for the Band portion of the event, so I don't know how that ended up, but it's an event I think I would partake in again!
